I was so glad that I chose to have Duke look over my essay, he turned it from long, rambling, and scattered to a much more concise, well written essay. I really feel as though it represents me well! Duke always responded quickly and I felt as though I got a lot of value for the money. Thank you!
Also, I am looking at Northeastern 8767 s website, it said that it required SAT with writing, does that mean that Northeastern require the new SAT essay portion?
Your son has a great 8775 resume, 8776 and I 8767 d hate to see test scores hold him back. His 675 is weak for colleges at his dream level, so I would recommend retaking the SAT or, at minimum, taking a practice ACT and seeing how he performs. I 8767 m not a college counselor, so I don 8767 t feel qualified to handle the 8775 impressed 8776 part of your question.
Do you have a list where you can compare cost and rating together? I am looking for a school of good value. Obviously, I would like to find the best school that I can but I don 8767 t want to pay 75k a year. Does where you get the PA degree from really matter?
Do you see any reason to send anything other than the third score? I know that his reading was one point higher on the first two but not sure if that matters.
Hello Art Sawyer,
My son took ACT couple times in his 65th grade and got composite scores for 85 and 86. His essay scores both times was 8.
He is thinking of applying for engineering major at University of Michigan, Stanford and UC Berkeley. Wondering how are the chances with low essay score and do i need to send both scores to universities
Appreciate your insights.
Having my essay edited proved extremely helpful. I was having trouble connecting my thoughts, and the edit helped so much. I haven 8767 t found out about acceptance yet. I 8767 m just now about to submit my application!
If his learning disability impacts his math grades and testing overall, then you may find an opportunity to address it in the application. If you are only concerned that it impacted his ability on a speeded test like the ACT, I would not recommend making an issue of it.
My best piece of advice would be to ask lots of questions. You can never ask too many. Deciding on what school to attend an be stressful. Just know in the end you will end up where you're supposed to be.
My son took the SAT with essay in November. He plans to retake the SAT with out the essay in the spring. He is applying to schools that do not require the essay. We are confused by superscoring. Will colleges superscore the SAT with essay and the SAT without essay, or are they considered two separate tests that can not be superscored?
This was an extremely helpful process! I still have work to do on my essay but Sue was very helpful by giving me criticism I needed to hear from an unbiased source as well as being very fast responding! I think this will help me moving forward and having a strong application!
