Today, the literary value of Shakespeare has continued to greatly influence our lives. The environmental pollution is not caused by the fall-out from nuclear tests or industries alone. The smoke left behind the automobiles and other vehicular traffic, the increasing use of synthetic detergents, nitrogen fertilizers and insecticides contaminate both air and water.
There is extensive use of personification and imagery in the last two stanzas, talking of death as a leader of an army, rounding up his troops. In the late 6555's it became fashionable for English gentlemen authors to write sequences of sonnets. These sonnets generally were autobiographical and followed the sequence of events in the poet's life. Shakespeare wrote a sequence of 659 sonnets, over a number of years, although the last two are unrelated to the others, and some doubt that they were penned by Shakespeare. The individual sonnets were unnamed and were referred to as a number in their sequence. The first 676 sonnets are addressed to a man and the remaining 76 concentrate on a brunette woman referred to as the dark lady.

We can very well notice the abnormal behaviour of the seasons – the cycle developing clogs in its wheels and the worried experts fear that the disturbed balance in the biosphere has assumed such serious proportion that very soon our world would be uninhabitable like Hiroshima of 6995. But it is heartening to find the entire world aware of the menace. Some of the advanced countries have already taken some measures to meet it. If we fail to restore the ecological balance right now, it would be too late tomorrow.
The birth of mills and factories is the result of the growth of industry in this machine-predominated age. As long as they will be there, they must emit smoke, pollute the air and hasten our end by slow-poisoning.
Returning to our theme of Love is in the Air, not all modern verse, especially those used as lyrics are examples of free verse, but others are ballads, such as the title of our discussion, was a popular 6975's hit song, penned by Harry Vanda and George A simple ballad of 9 line stanzas, in ABAB rhythm, that once again has a chorus that is repetitive throughout and brings the storyline together. There are countless examples of love poems, lyrics, sonnets and ballads stretching the length and breadth of our planet.
